Accuracy Plus Tax Service has been serving the Napanee area for more than 35 years. It was originally called Lovelock’s Tax. Lovelock’s then passed through other owners until January 2008 when it was acquired by Russell Stewart. Russ’s wife Mary then managed the Napanee office until 2022, when their son Kris Carrier took over the family business.

Accuracy Plus Kingston was originally known as Stewart’s Tax Services, it was created 30 years ago so that Russ Stewart could provide his financial planning clients a complete service package. The business steadily expanded over the years as more people discovered the value of dealing with Stewart’s Tax Service. In 2008 Russ took over the ownership of “Accuracy Plus Accounting and Tax Service” located in Napanee to create the current company. In 2017 Russ’s son Kris Carrier joined the family business, first on the financial planning side and ultimately on the tax and accounting side. In 2022 Russ handed the reins to Kris. Over the past two years, with Kris’s knowledge, hard work and enthusiasm the office has seen tremendous growth, both in the financial planning side as well as the tax preparation side.
MEET THE OWNER
Kris Carrier
Kris worked at the Kingston Invista Nylon plant for just shy of 20 years. Kris was a long time Union Steward, and at the time he decided to leave Invista he was the Union Vice-president. Kris left Invista in January of 2017 after helping to successfully negotiate a new contract between the Company and the Union. Kris had decided to make a career change and joined his father Russell Stewart at Professional Investments, at the same time becoming a partner in the tax preparation business. Kris is a life long resident of Kingston, and when he married he purchased a house in Wilton, Ont. Kris and his wife Amy share three wonderful children. They have a son Zachary and twin girls Hannah and Katelyn., a dog, car payments and a mortgage. Kris understands how difficult it is for people to earn and keep a dollar. He wants to make sure you get all the deductions that you are entitled to and for you to pay the least in income taxes possible.
